Solid Wood RAW MATERIALS

Ash wood is strong, durable and generally light in colour. It is coarse but the grain is fairly straight. As a result of its strength and durability, ash wood has an array of uses but is commonly used in the making of tools, furniture and frames.

Walnut wood is hard, heavy, and resilient, capable of resisting warping and suffering very little shrinkage. The grain is irregular but typically straight with a medium texture. The endgrain is semi-porous with distinct growth rings. Although susceptible to insects, English Walnut is quite resistant to decay.

Pine wood is medium-weight and relatively soft. Its strength and elasticity are good. As with other coniferous woods, the properties of the wood depend upon the density of the annual growth rings: The higher the proportion of summerwood, the heavier and harder the wood.

The peach wood is soft and has a fresh orange color that is accentuated by a tinge of red. The color of the wood makes it a clean option for use in wooden boxes and cabinets. The light tan color is preferable on wooden products as they add an artistic touch and feel to the product.

Mahogany has a straight, fine, and even grain, and is relatively free of voids and pockets. Its reddish-brown color darkens over time, and displays a reddish sheen when polished. It has excellent workability, and is very durable. Historically, the tree's girth allowed for wide boards from traditional mahogany species.

Teak is a close-grained hardwood with high natural oil and silica content. It is one of the hardest, strongest and most durable of all timbers, highly resistant to any rotting and almost impervious to the effects of hot sun, rain, frost or snow.

Meranti Wood is a flexible wood with a variety of subspecies, and sources. Majority of the meranti wood species are utilized for residential use and it is imported to the United States from Southeast Asia. Meranti is one of the easiest hardwood to deal, such as it easily cuts, machines processes just as sands

Oak wood is exceedingly strong, heavy and durable. It is an attractive light colour with a prominent grain and is resistant to fungal attack, thanks to its dense constitution and long-living nature, which must equip the tree for its long lifetime.
